Benefits of MobileKey

The Senor Access MobileKey App represnts a significant evolution in access control technology, providing a range of benefits over traditional access cards in terms of cost, sustainability, efficiency and user experience. Virtual credentials are ideal for large, or fast growing organizations, or for applications that see high numbers of non-permanent users such as contractors, temporary staff, or visitors.

Enhanced Operational efficiency:

With MobileKey, virtual cards can be issued instantly as required, removing the need to store, print and distribute physical access cards. This significantly streamlines onboarding for new users, while also simplifying day-to-day access management, allowing the system to effortlessly scale to meet the needs of your organisation. Virtual credentials also provide a clear audit trail for administrators, making it easy to track usage.

Reduced costs:

Our MobileKey app can be downloaded for free from the App store, with no subscription or renewal required. Employing MobileKey reduces expenses by eliminating the need to produce, print, and replace physical access cards. In the long term, switching to virtual cards can lead to substantial savings, particularly for organisations with large user bases, multiple sites, or high staff turnover.

Increased Sustainability:

MobileKey supports environmental and sustainability initiatives by enabling organizations to phase out plastic access cards that are difficult to recycle and often end up in landfill. Virtual cards also reduce the environmental impact associated with manufacturing, packaging, and shipping physical cards, helping organisations lower their carbon footprint and meet sustainability or ESG targets.

Streamlined user experience:

With MobileKey, virtual access credentials can be sent remotely eliminating the need for visitors to collect access cards in person. Once enrolled users simply present their smartphone to the reader, providing a fast, familiar, and intuitive access experience. As most users carry their phone at all times, the risk of forgotten or misplaced cards is greatly reduced compared to with plastic access cards.

Two factor security:

Unlike traditional access cards, which can be used by anyone if lost or stolen, smartphones are protected by the device’s passwords or biometrics, ensuring that the digital key remains secure and accessible only to authorised users.
