The Challenge: Securing a Grade II listed property without compromising its historic fabric
Located at the gateway to London’s prestigious Belgravia and bustling Victoria district, 20 Grosvenor Gardens is a Grade II listed office property renowned for its architectural elegance. With seven floors of office space, multiple tenants and regular movement across its floors, the building required a secure, future-proof access control system capable of meeting the needs of a modern workspace, all while respecting the building’s historical features.
Sensor Access were asked to provide a robust and future-proof access control solution that would support multi-tenant management and provide real time visibility and control, while still preserving the integrity of this listed building and minimising cabling and physical disruption.
To meet this challenge, we designed a bespoke system built around DOM UK’s ENiQ® range of wireless access control products, fully integrated with our GuardPoint10 access control software.
The Solution: Providing flexible, scalable security with minimal disruption
Sensor Access Technology designed and delivered a fully integrated Access Control System centered around GuardPoint10, combined with DOM’s ENiQ® wireless locking technology.
Key Components
- GuardPoint10 Access Control Software
- DOM ENiQ® Wireless Door Handles
- DOM RF NetManager (wireless communication hub)
- DOM Controller for system integration
The wireless handles communicate in real time with the GuardPoint10 software via DOM’s RF NetManager and Controller, ensuring fast, secure access control decisions without the need for traditional cabling or local intelligence at the door. All access permissions are managed centrally in the software, giving facilities teams live control, detailed audit trails, and the ability to react instantly to any security requirement.
This partnership between Sensor Access and DOM allows for a seamless, two-way integration between hardware and software, enabling advanced access management, real-time monitoring, and complete control over ingress and egress across the site. The use of wireless door handles was critical , to allow installation across the building without damaging original doors or fabric, an essential requirement this listed property. At the same time, GuardPoint10 provides a centralised platform for managing access across the entire site, ensuring security is never compromised.
The installation of the system was completed in Auguest 2025, by Sesnor Access’s trusted installation partner, Triple Star Fire and Security.
“At 20 Grosvenor Gardens, we installed wireless DOM locks to offices and storage areas. These operate seamlessly with GuardPoint10 and, by utilising the RF Network Manager (wireless hub), required no door wiring at all. A single hub supports up to 16 locks within a 30-metre radius, giving us the flexibility to deploy the solution efficiently across multiple floors. Sensor Access GuardPoint10 is our go-to platform for access control projects. The user interface is intuitive and straightforward, and the wide range of integrations available genuinely enhances overall building management. ” – Matt Edwards, Security Systems Director at Triple Star Fire & Security Limited.
The outcome: A secure, discreet, and future-proof solution for a prestigious heritage property
The outcome of the project successfully delivered a modern, intelligent access control solution for this historic building that balances security, usability, and preservation. The modular, scalable nature of the DOM and Sensor integration allows the system to continue to grow effortlessly alongside the property’s evolving needs.
